Is anyone else watching Emerald City?  I'm catching up on the last couple of episodes (because I'm usually exhausted on Friday nights, and keep falling asleep  :-[ ), and my only real complaint is that it's linked to Oz.  Because it's nothing like the original Oz, and to me it would fly perfectly well - better, in fact - as an original setting.  I love some of the issues they're touching on, like gender identity, and actions have clear consequences!  Oh, and the costuming is to die for.

What does anyone else think?

Are there any springtime tv shows anyone is excited about? What about movies?

For me, I just last month got to see Sing. I know it's not exactly a new movie anymore, but to me it was. xD Before that was Secret Life of Pets, which I really enjoyed. Next on my list is Trolls. I haven't been keeping up with the box office recently, honestly.

*blows dust off thread*

Sooo...  Does anybody else watch Supergirl?  (I'm watching the reruns because it was opposite something else I liked better during the first run.)  If so, is anybody else being knocked over by the slash potential of the show?  I mean, Kara/Lena, anyone?  And James and...  What's the name of his superhero buddy?  Sorry, I suck at names.  But the kid needs somebody less psychotic than Lyra, and there have been moments in the lair-on-wheels that could totally have gone in a different direction.

Or is it just me?

Really?  Me again?  Anyway, there's this TV commercial for a voice remote that includes Frodo Baggins saying, "Play my Straight out of the Shire playlist."  My almost certainly non-standard reaction was to start rapping "F*ck the Nazgul..."

Please tell me somebody else saw Straight Outta Compton and gets it.
