A Word of Warning

On the Geeking Shack, we have a rating system. The rating system is quoted below:

Quote from: Rating System
K -  Intended for general audience 5 years and older. Content should be free of any coarse language, violence, and adult themes.

K+ -  Suitable for more mature children, 9 years and older, with minor action violence without serious injury. May contain mild coarse language. Should not contain any adult themes.

T -  Suitable for teens, 13 years and older, with some violence, minor coarse language, and minor suggestive adult themes.

M -  Not suitable for children or teens below the age of 16 with possible strong but non-explicit adult themes, references to violence, and strong coarse language.

Most of the Geeking Shack is rated T, but comic books and video game adaptions of comic books haven't always been kid friendly. Some comic book, movie, show, and video game threads that you'll find in here occasionally might have sensitive content rated M.

Our rules ask users who are posting about sensitive content to be aware and respectful of what they're posting and who might be reading it. To figure out what's sensitive content or not, please use the rating system above. In general though, moderators consider sensitive content to be any of the following:

- excessive violence
- gore
- sexual/physical abuse
- self-injury
- anything similar

Sensitive content should only be brought up if it's relevant to the current discussion in the thread. Not for shock value or the purpose of upsetting other users. Users posting anything that might have sensitive content of any kind (overly excessive violence, gore, sexual abuse, self-injury, etc) have to put a warning of some kind in the beginning of their post, and be very tactful when discussing it.

Certain comics, movies, video games, and shows are more mature than other ones. Threads that moderators believe will have more sensitive content discussed than others will be tagged by the moderator with [Rated M] in the thread title. Please be aware that everyone should still be respectful and aware when discussing sensitive content in these threads, just like everyone should be aware they might find sensitive content inside the threads rated M.
