I like the Bowtruckle, too, but I lost my heart to the Demiguise. It reminded me of the shyest cat I've ever adopted, and I'd love to have the chance to coax it out of hiding and stroke its fur. But that's not to say I wouldn't welcome the chance to care for all of the beasties. I like most animals more than most of the humans I've met - like Newt, I think - and I think his relatively free environment for them is wonderful. If he or anyone like him is ever looking for an assistant, I'm their person.
