Hey hey, reading and writing lovers! What projects have everyone been up to? School essays, newspaper column submissions?

Is that a PJ I see? Hi!

And of course we kept the Library. ^_^ It's also the Writers Are Liars and Art of the Impossible forums, so all things writing and fanfiction revewing are located in one handy place now. :)

Yes it is!

I'm so happy this is here. I forgot my MNI password years ago, and the password reset never would work for me. I was still logged on my very old tablet, but the kids just broke it, so this forum opening was very fortunate for my accessibility. ;)

Hey Library Lurkers! How is everyone's spring going? Does anyone have a massively long reading list still to get through, or is it just me? xD

Hi everyone!

The most I get to read these days is the image-quote-thingies on Facebook...  :/  How is everyone else doing?

I reread the Inheritance Cycle recently.  I really want to read Game of Thrones next!  The show is amazing and all, but there is so much they can show in one episode, and from talking to the people who've read the books, there is a lot of subtleties that the show cannot delve into.

I own A Song of Ice and Fire, but haven't started reading it yet. Actually, I take that back. I read about two pages when I had a few minutes, but haven't picked it back up since then. From what I read, it sounds an awful lot like The Wheel of Time's prequel book, New Spring. I was pretty much expecting as such, considering they are of similar genres and topics.

I started reading the first book too, but I'm not a huge fan of the writing style.  Plus, it was an e-book, so that too isn't ideal either.  I prefer old fashioned hard copies!

More than two years later, I have still not read Game of Thrones!  But I did get Harry Potter e-books today, which is what reminded me to check on the site!

How is everyone doing?  I still miss MNI... </33

It doesn't count as reviving a zombie thread if it's been a mere five months, does it?

I'm also a not so proud member of the haven't-read-GOT club. I have, however, collected Harry Potter in 2.5 English physical sets, .8 French audio and physical sets, and .25 (ish) Spanish physical sets. Clearly I have a very balanced library.

Hey,

We cal always try to keep the thread alive so a revival isn't warranted... A reply in under a month seems great considering the track record!

I'm still in the same club as you with regards to not having read Game of Thrones.  Plus, sadly, I did not even continue reading the Harry Potter e-books... :/  I did, however, do a Marvel re-watch a few weeks ago, and am currently on a DC re-watch!
